Heute wurden die Gewinner der gamescom awards 2017 gekürt. Neben der Entscheidung über die Sieger in insgesamt 21 Kategorien sowie den Best of gamescom award, wurde am 24. August auf der Publikumspreis und der gamescom “Most Wanted” Consumer award bekannt gegeben. Die Preisverleihung fand auf der Social Media Stage in Halle 10.1 statt.
Nintendo staubte in diesem Jahr gleich fünf mal mit dem Titel Super Mario Odyssey ab. Darunter auch den begehrten Best of gamescom award. Der Switch Titel konnte darüber hinaus in gleich drei Jury-Kategorien überzeugen. Auch der gamescom “Most Wanted” Consumer award ging an Super Mario Odyssey. Weitere Awards gingen unter anderem an Assassin’s Creed: Origins und Destiny 2.
